I might be the only one, but the intro to Balls Deep always makes me laugh because it makes me think of the enhancement smoker buying weed from scarface on half baked.

On the death of Tony Soprano, Gandolfini played one of my favorite tv characters ever, salute to Rod and Karen for the 40 in his memory.

And on Paula Deen, I wasn’t too surprised. As a person who says “nigga” a lot, I KNEW she said it all the time. She should have known Karen is the only one who can turn Guess The Race success into a hit cooking spinoff show.

Hey Y’all (in my best big, country, fried butter eating ass Paula Deen voice). Just a couple thoughts about this episode:

I was amused but not surprised that Paula Deen uses the N-word

Regarding #paulasbestdishes on Twitter, my faves were:
    -Lynchables
-Can I Touch Your Angel Hair Pasta
    – Swing Low, Sweet Cherry Pie and
    -Don’t Speak Until Spoken Tuna
As I type this, my sister and I are dying over the #pauladeentvshows trend

Regarding the lady who left her kids behind (or sent them to their dad, rather), I’m curious as to why exactly this is news. For whatever reason she decided that she was gonna send these kids to stay with their other parent. That’s a lot better a decision than some ppl make when they decide not to take care of their kids. Long story short, those kids could’ve ended up in a much worse situation than simply not having their mom around.

Regarding Serena Williams comments about the Steubenville case, I assume that she probably doesn’t know much ABOUT the case but knows OF the case….all the more reason for her not to comment on it in such detail in my opinion. I think her comments at the very least brought some attention to something that I think is a very big issue in our society which is alcohol consumption in large quantities. Steubenville case aside, no one (male or female) should be drunk enough to be completely incoherent or unaware of their surroundings.

Sorry this was so long but I finally got the courage to comment on an episode. Love you guys.

    Hello Rod & Karen,

I just want to say I am so happy for you both! I am glad you are monetizing the show and as soon as my finances are back on track I will be a premium member. Thank you for the wonderful shows that keep me entertained all week.

I would like to comment on the story about the woman who parents from afar. Karen was on point with her commentary on this story, I had to stop the show so I could go online and make a comment. It makes me so angry that “mom’s” are expected to be these mythical creatures that have to drop their own lives and be everything for the family. This issue is the reason why my own family life is not doing so good. I believed the super-woman myth and it’s breaking me. I was that strong can-do woman for my husband, I did it ALL! We got married and had a baby then I woke up one day and was like, how did I get here??? I was just plain overwhelmed. Everything was on me; finances, household upkeep, cooking, taking care of our daughter (who has special needs), holding down a full time job, and trying to be that “good” wife. I resented it and I know it’s my own fault, I beleived the myth that I could do it all and the truth is I just cannot. I need help and I need my husband to step up to the plate and be the grownup with me and not just expecting me to always take the lead. My husband and I are going to go through marriage counseling to see if we can work through these issues. I’m very hopeful that we will be okay after some help and direction.

I want to thank you for making me laugh through this difficult time in my life. Keep up the hard work and just know that you are truly making a difference. Laughter is the best medicine and you both supply me with that every week!

Disclaimer: My husband is a great person and a wonderful father. I just feel like because he hasn’t been able to fulfill things in his life to make him feel successful he puts more on me with the promise that things will be better when he finds that perfect career.(I’m trying to phrase this correctly?? Hopefully you kinda get it; sorry for rambling 🙂
