I tried to read the rambling paragraph but my head started to hurt. Before tapping out I gathered that anonymous is upset that Christians are maligned by homophobia unfairly. Some of the laws like the BS in Indiana speaks for itself on that front.
Anecdotally, I went to a funeral for a woman who was like an aunt to my brother and I. When we were headed to the cemetary her nephew pulled me aside to offer to introduce me to the bible because I’m gay.
On the other hand my devote parents who put my brother and I through Catholic school. They as well as my brother are huge gay rights advocates and supporters of marriage equality. In short Christians can be assholes or decent people but like dudes when it comes to issues affecting women, they have to stand up against the bullshit or your part of the problem.
To the guy not seeing the parallels to race in that “you can’t be in the closet racially.” One, passing is a thing. Two, a few guys I’ve dated are naturally effeminate. Three if the comparisons to being Black hit too close to home think about being gay like being Jewish.
It’s something you’re born into even if you reject it. You can not practice it and try to act like mainstream society but some people can tell by just looking at you and some people will hate you for just existing. In both cases the biggest bigots will use selective biblical scholarship while eating pork and trying to have as much sex as possible before marriage.
