Just heard this episode mention Lewiston, Maine where the asshole mayor wants to publish the names of families on welfare. Interesting fact, this story could have been part of Fucking with Black People because Lewiston, Maine is home to a good many muslim refugees from Somalia. Given that the mayor of Lewiston fought tooth and nail to keep the Somalians from being settled here my guess would be that this move to publicly shame welfare recipients is directly related to that. Lewiston is a depressed town in the middle of a rural area with lots of abandoned factories and not many jobs. If the mayor really gave a shit about getting people off of welfare he would be working to bring jobs to the town not spending his time engaged in blatant racism.

Matt Damon – He’s full of shit. Since all performers should keep their sexuality a secret, I no longer want to see his wife on any red carpets and I don’t want to see any more stories with him talking about family. I’m o confused about his recent actions adn comments. He’s always seemed to be a low key, smart, evolved and aware guy. but now he’s gone freaking nuts. His comments on diversity and sexuality lead make me think he’s a smidge misogynist, tad homophobic, & slightly racist.

Azealia Banks – She is so hateful and hypocritical. She’s the musical equivalent of The View for me. I only hear about her when she’s saying or doing some fuck shit. I’m not sure how talented she is because I have seen & heard very little from her in a musical capacity. I’ve tried to root for her as a Black woman, but I gotta get off this train because the brakes are gone.

Micahael B. Jordan – I was about to swear him off and skip Creed, but that open letter pulled me back from the brink. I like how he didn’t try to explain anything away and accepted full responsibility. Kudos to him and others could take a cue from him!

In my opinion, in the August Alsina video that the woman looked uncomfortable. She very may have wanted her to grope her, but possibly not in public. Just going by her body language, she pushed his arm out of the way and tried to cover herself. He seemed to give zero fucks. I think any performer who brings any fan on stage should get permission to touch them in that manner. As far as the argument of what about when women like Nicki Menage and Janet Jackson do it, I think the only reason why that argument is even brought up is the trivialize someone else’s experience. Two wrongs absolutely don’t make a right. Women performers should also follow the same protocol and get permission. As far as the Madonna and Drake thing went, of course he said he didn’t mind Madonna kissing him because people were calling his manhood into question, even Madonna herself. Interestingly enough I think the only reason people were calling out Madonna (even though I think she crossed the line) was because of her age. Had it been Taylor Swift or Miley Cyrus, no one would have said a word. It’s all one big ball of double standards and the world we live in unfortunately, but bottom line, keep your hands to yourself unless you have the person’s permission.
