Hey Karen and Rod! Just catching up and see that folks already gave you the spoon tip for peeling ginger , so I will just say that I have had Shuckin & Jivin on my Miami to eat list for ages. I have seen so many people rave about the food and their IG page has been tempting me for a year. Might make a trip to escape this NYC winter. I also LOVE that you play the theme song between segments. It truly is a bop! Love y’all!

Hi Karen and Rod! Please forgive me if this is duplicate comment. I got an error message after I tried to post the 1st one. Anyway…A hack for peeling ginger root is to run the edge of a spoon against the skin like a potato peeler. The skin will come off easily. Now that I finished the show, I love the “taking your lunch” idea to free up time. I spend so much time trying to decide where I’m going, & sometimes I just say fuckit because I don’t feel like going anywhere & it’s not worth the hassle. Also, I tried Blue Apron, but there were a lot of choices and I ended up putting off several weeks. Maybe I’ll try one of the other choices. Thanks Karen!

    Hey Karen and Rod!!!!

I was NOT expecting another episode so fast but I loved it!

This year will be the first year I try Pumpkin Spiced food, drinks and candles. As the days get shorter and the weather changes I go into a mild depression. My SAD (seasonal affective disorder) diagnosis makes me sensitive to everything that reminds me of fall/winter not just the weather. This year my therapist suggested that I try taking baby steps to deal with the upcoming season, so pumpkin spice is on my list of things to try. I don’t expect to be completely rid of my SAD diagnosis, but my hope is to not let it cripple me with anxiety. So consider me a member of the Pumpkin Spice Crew, west coast chapter. If all goes well I’m buying some Uggs. Rod, I know they know your name up in these Ugg lined streets. If I mention you do you think I will get a discount?

Thanks again for another great episode.

    Jo
