I also don’t read a lot, but I love reading. I just don’t have the time or the desire anymore. I’ve been around thousands of books for 20 years, and it’s just like “eh” after awhile.

Oh deer! While I have a tendency to fawn over books and things associated with them, I actually do agree with you on the Dewey Decimal “system”. I mean doe we really need use ant-ler-n a system made by a racist bigot sex predator who preyed on any vixen he was working with. Melville Dewey was not a good guy and the whole system is based on his random thought process where slavery is 326 but white history is 900-999… Sometimes I wish I could say the right magic word and then the Dewey Decimal System would “Bam”-bi gone…
It makes sense to organize non-fiction by topic rather than author and using a numerical system. However, librarians should buck the trend and create a new system.
