I’m not surprised that the news decided to focus on Obama saying Nigger. They don’t want to risk scaring white people off by talking about race. And that’s why I think that Chuck Todd was full of shit when he said he was trying to make people uncomfortable. Studies have shown that the news gives disproportionate coverage on black criminals, giving white people a distorted view of crime. So yeah, Chuck Todd ain’t slick.

On a lighter note, I’m glad y’all enjoyed your time at Heroes con. And I think its cool that Rod is going to try to remember the names of some writers and artist.
I know for me its the inverse. Since most of the comics I read growing up had characters who were owned by the writer or artist. And as a result, I don’t know a lot about Iconic characters who’re owned by companies like Marvel.

The media proved President Obama’s point. The media was so focus on his use of the word instead of the context of what he was saying, that they missed the trap he set. The media was stuck on the ideology of the word instead of the legacy of where the word came from and what has the country done to fix the system and how to make it better.

We have the sassy black AMC lady here in Atlanta too (“of _course_ y’all do”, someone reading/listening will say). I went to go see “Dope” at an AMC on Saturday (great movie BTW), and her line reading was so sharp and severe that I almost involuntarily yanked my phone out of my pocket and turned it off. I felt like my mama was scolding me!
