Heretic so lives off the heater from one Hugh Grant just chewing up the scenery vs two real-life Mormons with Chloe East & Sophie Thatcher. Yet, even as the film has to re-establish that it’s actually a horror movie & not court summons, I loved it because there’s a unique amount of tension in it. The ending doesn’t necessarily work for me, but I was just that deeply compelled it just all worked for me.
