The Paravai-Kaaran fresh from hanging out in Amsterdam with an uncle who I hadn’t seen in person since 1992. He lives in a neighborhood full of Ghanaian folks, even their posters for events had Ghanaian names, while driving to his crib I kept checking if I mistakenly entered a portal to Accra and left Amsterdam. But that’s not why I’m here, just wanted to check out if anyone watched Forever on Netflix?
Returning back to my story collection site one last time before I come back to America (do I even want to return back).
Yall really hating on three stacks flute album and yall not real meditators for real?! You are correct on the Lil Wayne slander but I will not stand for the flagrant foul on the flutes.
Especially you, Rod…as a fellow herb enthusiast I cannot believe you have never gotten high and turned on the flute album…it’s an out of body experience. It was on my Apple Music wrapped last year.
This is a big tent and if we are going to beat the fascists we are going to need a broad coalition…including us flute enthusiasts. Get over your purity rap politics and get with the doot doot doot doot doot doot doot doot doot.

Hi Rod, Karen and Justin
Here’s hoping you are all having a stress free week.
I was wondering if you guys have seen 40 Acres with Danielle Deadwyler? Aside from Deadwyler being great in a role once again, the film itself is really good. Like Sinners, it provides Native Representation. Unlike Sinners 40 Acres Native representation runs throughout the course of the film. If you get a chance to see it, I highly recommend it.
I guess this question is more specifically directed at Rod, as you tend to be the one who keeps his finger on the current pulse of Hip Hop. Have you listened to The Clipse’s new cd, “Let God Sort ‘Em Out”? It is really good. It might be the best Hip Hop record that has dropped this year. Kendrick, Tyler and Nas are all featured, and Pharrell produced the entire album. The Clips also did an excellent Tiny Desk as a part of the album rollout.
