What it do Rod, Karen and J. Jerry Jones,
I hope all is well.
I don’t know what awards are given to television production crews, but shouts out to whoever kept cutting to Jerry Jones looking like his lower room reservation had been called whenever Micah Parsons was hawking Dak Prescott. But to the Cowboys credit, they’re clearly geared up for shootouts; Bomani Jones call Dallas’ defense the Make-A-Wish Foundation took me out.
Speaking of questionable long-terms decisions and University of Arkansas alumnus Jerry Jones, shouts out to new Arkansas interim head football coach, Bobby Petrino! Jerry Jones probably is a fan of Petrino, right? Nobody gets cancelled.
I hate to say, but Dabo cutting a promo on Clemson fans to say he’s a winner only to get blown out by Syracuse? Peak comedy. Fortunately, Clemson has a get-right game against UNC. For everything Hudson’s boyfriend believes about himself as a football coach, what will losing by 50 to a grown man named “Dabo” do to his soul?
I hope y’all have a wonderful weekend, happy belated birthday Rod and thanks for the dope shows!
Peace,
Dough
Hi Rod, Karen and Jadam Silver,
Adam Silver is having a week. Not only is this Kawhi incident not going away, but now the WNBA commissioner that he appointed has been called out by one of its star players. I watched parts of Clippers media day, including Lawrence Frank and Kawhi, and they both said enough – though no outright denial which is also telling — that if the NBA’s investigation or Pablo’s reporting bears out, then to me, there is enough circumstantial evidence that a reasonable person would conclude there was some funny business going on and would penalize the Clippers. It has met the burden of proof for me, but it will be purely in Silver’s discretion. And as for the WNBA, I love the players and this league. Where else could you get someone so brave, who so clearly understands the issues and can articulate their frustration to take on the commissioner and management? I love it. I guess my overall question in both cases – is who does the commissioner serve? The owners, the players, the fans? Well, Adam Silver will be telling us who he does.
NBA is almost back!! I know you’re excited about the Hornets, but obviously it’s Lakers All-Day over here. Did you see Lebron’s post? Is it the end? It seemed sentimental, but also like he’s going to just have fun and enjoy. Honestly at this point the load is on Luka. It made me sad – I can’t imagine a league without Bron.
Thanks for all the great shows!!
