Clearly Netflix’s Metal Gear Solid, just dumber Once Alan Ritchson develops a persona after the melodramatics, War Machine has a flow reminiscent of an old Albert Pyun B-Movie called Nemesis & while I prefer that film to this, it has its moments with the mech going mech on people. Some nice practical effects, especially with the dismemberment. The ending kinda sucks, because while I understand using rocks to upend just one of them because of a ventilation “design flaw”, I just wish it more clever & them blatantly selling a War Machine 2 after what we just watched? It’ll probably get greenlit, but this was far from good. Disposably entertaining for a moment? Yes, but it’s easily forgotten. Shit kinda makes me wanna blow the dust off my PS2 & insert a disc of the original Metal Gear Solid just because, you know?
