Arnie Hammer nailed that affable, likable-Steve Ballmer type dude with his character in this movie. Guy like Steve Lift remind me of business people who try to put a “happy face” like Jeff Bezos, when it comes to the dehumanization of people. His character was terrifying, cuz the public loves these types of people & allows those types to do what they want, due to the perception that “they know what’s best”. Even when Cassius had to go through literal shit to bring it up, the public was like either yay or yawn. It’s that stuff that I really liked about this movie the most. The blackness, yes, it’s on-point, but it’s the obsession & draining nature of corporate America is where the film shines.

I loved what this film had to say about capitalism, the reality of the United States and its foundation and the dangers/hypocrisies of “wokeness” in the United States. Most of all, I loved the blackness of this film and the different kinds of blackness that were presented. I think this is a film that needs to be viewed more than once to unpack all of the layers.

This movie was a great commentary on capitalism and how things can go if the silent majority stays silent.
