Hello Queen Karen and 100% More Rod! Congratulations on your 60th episode!
The Wafflery looks like it could have been great; I checked out their website and they pulled me in with their reviews from Quanteria Cooper and Tarik McMorris (guess the race!) and I saw pictures of delicious food, but nothing like that Womlette bull****. Maybe the other location can do it better if you ever go again, and I would get at some biscuits if you do.
I also tried the McDonald’s Big Arch burger and it was just all right. Too big for me! I think that it would have been better if it were smaller and maybe designed like a Big Mac variant, but I found out online that this burger isn’t new, it’s just new to us; Canada, Australia, UK, Portugal and New Zealand got it first. They can keep it too!
Love to eat! Love the show!

Hi Karen & Rod!
I just wanted to leave my tip for sweetening things without having to deal with gritty or substitute sugar. Simple syrup!
You can either request it or make it yourself. Places that serve liquor usually have it since it’s a standard ingredient in mixed drinks. If the place doesn’t have it made already, they usually have hot water. Ask for a little bit of hot water, put sugar in it, mix it til it dissolves, then pour it in the drink. Use a lot of sugar so it’s sweet enough to keep you from having to add so much liquid that you have to sip the nasty sugarless drink to keep it from overflowing while you’re mixing it.
I didn’t think to do it this way until a few years ago and I’m mad at my past self because I’ve known about simple syrup for a couple decades now from watching baking shows and working in restaurants. I should’ve been doing it for yeeeears.
It’s great for making pitchers of drinks too. Make it flavored. I’ve made honey simple syrup and thrown it in a pitcher of already-cold iced tea. I start all my hot tea as simple syrup with the tea bag in it to infuse the flavor for a few minutes before I add the rest of the water.
It was a game changer for me and hopefully y’all and the other listeners will make good use of it too!
Judge Tharp’s ruling that breast meat can be called wings is absurd, and I am offended! This dubya appointee obviously has no taste buds, because there is a huge difference between boneless wings (technically deboned wings) and breast meat. Given that the restaurant being sued specializes in chicken, it is not only reasonable to expect to get wings when you order wings, but it is also the type of corporate shill behavior one can expect from unqualified Republican judicial appointees.
This man should be disbarred, debenched, and possibly imprisoned for fraud!
But I don’t have strong feelings on this decision…
