Thanks for doing this review, it actually inspired me to go watch the first one. This is a fun movie and my daughter and I really enjoyed it. It was so cute and funny when Kev/Fridge said “Yea, fine I don’t have balls†and my daughter leaned over laughing and asked “that means he doesn’t have hair down there right?â€. And I replied “not exactlyâ€. I’ll have to explain castration to her another time, lol.
Thanks again,
Iman
Hi Rod & Karen, in my private screening of the movie because I was the only one in the theater, I enjoyed this movie so much.
Hi Rod and Karen,
I really enjoyed Jumanji. I don’t understand the critics who are slamming the movie and I hope the negative reviews does not detract people from seeing the film. Everyone in my theater was laughing and clapping and they clapped when the movie was over. It was really funny and continues to demonstrate that comedy is truly The Rock’s forte. He and Kevin Hart are for me, the new comedy A-Team, and as long as they keep working like this together, I will be going to see their films. I think the set-up for the potential sequel has been set into place: bring Kevin Hart and The Rock’s characters into the real world, where their skill-sets do not play and watch what happens.
I was rather pleased that Jumanji 3 was just a phoned-in film. It’s a very good entry into a series I didn’t think we needed. I had issues with the bad guy, & some prolonged jokes, it mostly works because of the casting. The Rock, Karen Gillian, Jack Black, Awkwafina & Kevin Hart do great stuff. It was really seeing Black & Gillian play a black person, without stereotyping the guy once. The Rock, Awkwafina & Hart doing Danny Glover & Devito impersonations hardly got old. I’m down for another one of these.
