So I fucked around and watched all 8 episodes of Active Shooter. It’s crazy how desensitized AND how cautious I’ve become over the years. Lot to process.

A couple years ago I heard a few stories about Azealia & didn’t know who she was, so I looked up her music before I automatically dismissed her based on her Beyoncé comments. Her music made me feel like she could probably use all that “hatin” energy to make better music. Although I’ve heard rumors that she’s quite talented, you wouldn’t know it what with her only being mentioned when being a garbage person.

Thank y’all for mentioning the Hong Kong Protesters, they really are doing the damn thing over there! I hope American protestors learn from them – the way they disposed of tear gas cans was amazing , they worked as team and that shit was beautiful!

Lmao “little fucking hick towns” Karen

Daisy Credit Union really needs to get some help and (in Dwight from RHOA voice)Who is this person calling her self a music artist with no music “ lol

I hope she gets some therapy and meds if she needs them , that’s all I got for Azealia .

Karen I’m so glad you said you were gonna start reading the Harry Potter books – you will love them !

    Thanks again you two ,

Karen’s reaction to that Azealia Banks story was the same as mine honestly. The only time she ever really trends now is when shes shitting on other peoples success in really mean spirited ways. It’s so sad seeing this is all she does now, especially after how much people rooted for her in the beginning.

Y’all sitting over there judging this pastor for banning Harry Potter but can’t tell the demon in your own home!

Karen starts reading them books and all of a sudden she’s getting stalked by killer birds? Coincidence? I think not!

I didn’t spend twelve freezing winters in Detroit for one of our most cherish musical contributions to be gentrified by Trevor. Clearly, he didn’t either because had he, he’d respect the sacred nature of the midwestern blessing that is ‘It’s So Cold In the D’!

Normally, I don’t give a fuck about Azelia Banks or her angry toxic Twitter fingers, but her comments about Lizzo, Lil Nas X and Cardi B boiled my water. Can’t black people just make music that makes us dance and sing along? Who cares what white people think? Racists going to hate us even at our most respectable (i.e. Michelle Obama). I just got into Lizzo and I love her music. It makes me feel seen as a big, black, sexual woman (like Missy before her). Cardi B and Megan the Stallion make me feel good and they not hurting no one with their jams. Sigh.

Also, Harry Potter books are actually 20 years old. Lol. Sorry for being the well actually listener.

Thank you for exploring the Hong Kong protests. You really informed me.

Dang y’all were able to fit in so much stuff in this episode!

I especially liked how much you two spent talking about Hong Kong and the protests happening here. I’ve personally witnessed one of the early protests while on a date. I was able to see up close and personal how organized they are and, most importantly, how much they care for each other. There’s very much a sense of community: people handing out water, masks, and hard hats (if you need). There are “frontliners” who are the ones you’ve seen dealing with tear gas and throwing petrol bombs. There are those in the middle and back helping to bring supplies to frontliners and helping get injured people out of harms way.

Despite Carrie Lam withdrawing the bill, I don’t see protesters losing the same energy they’ve had for months. If anything, I think this will make them even more defiant and less likely to back down. I am curious to see how Beijing responds if protests continue to result in clashes with the police.

Thanks for providing laughs during such an uncertain time!
