Don’t waste a cookout invite on Bloomberg. Give it to Damon Lindelof for his groundbreaking HBO series “The Watchmen”. What white fimmaker do you know starts off their HBO series by tackling little known black history events like the Tulsa massacre? Any why isn’t anyone watching this masterpiece? Shame, Shame, Shame.

Joe Brown sounded like Mister’s father from The Color Purple. It would be nice to have a celebrity Brown in the news not on some stupid sh*t. Oh well.

Joe Brown’s show has been cancelled for a while but he’s not the one who calls people crackheads that’s Judge Matthis. Judge Joe Brown’s thing was telling people to “Be a Man” “You’re not a real man” So it doesn’t surprise me that he’s a hotep. I cackled at that audio tape though.

Okay, born and bred New Yorker. First off, New York may be a blue state but we have had Republican governors and a majority Republican state congress. New York City has no problem voting in a Republican mayor because of racism. The War on Drugs that lingered since the 1980s and 1990s still influences voters. Staten Island is a whole borough built on white flight. Immigrants also had a tendency to lean Republican because of the false narrative that the Black Americans and Hispanics are drowning New York City in crime. *smh* To paraphrase Kriss from MTR, Mike Bloomberg throwing his hat into the presidential race as a democrat is the height of “Who’s Man’s Is This?”

Pluuuuus, NY didn’t have early voting until this year.

Really enjoyed this episode. Karen, I’m a Vet and I think you’re right on point about us bonding over trauma the way Veterans do. I’ve sat in plenty of VA waiting rooms were veteran’s of all generations bond and laugh about many traumatic experiences of being a vet, whether as a result of war zones or just terrible treatment by commanding officers, VA medical facilities, or the military institution as a whole. It is very similar to the way I’ve joked with family about what i now know is abuse. Keep up the good work! Love you two.

    Hey y’all!
This was a super fun episode!
    1. I love how y’all are trolling that 4 star review! Never stop singing “Butterflies in the sky” Karen! I love it!! Hhaaahhaaa

    2. I think this is the most shocked I’ve ever heard Rod be after that Judge Joe Brown clip. Karen didn’t sound surprised at all. Lmbo, she was only surprised that “Dr.” Umar was the voice of reason. I died

    Love y’all,
    Iman

Loved the show, as usual, but FWBP and the Judge Joe Brown story had me dying. I am not at all surprised, he’s expressed some hotep opinions in the past, but I guess nothing ever really went viral. As a semi-empath, I try to understand that he’s been going through a lot during the last few years. He’s gotten a divorce and has been prevented from practicing law in his home state of Tennessee because of disability (complications from his diabetes). On top of that, he is my frat brother so I don’t like to throw stones in public, but brother come on!
