    Hey Rod, Karen, and Justin,

Before I launch off, I’m assuming Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms made a full recovery and is back in good health? That’s awesome. She’s been working hard for her city. The democratic Mayor’s seem to be doing all they can.

Governors testing positive hours before meeting with the administration is wild to me. The reporter from Axios asked how long til the American people have testing the way they do at the White House. Imagine these people (pure unmitigated racists and agents of evil) being more protected than any Americans in the country. What a nightmare. It’s astounding. Every time I think about Herman Cain being dead I get sad. And 53% of whites would vote for reelection if the election were today. At this point it will take the death toll skyrocketing to 225,000 plus by mid October for any significant change in the minds of whites. And even that won’t do shyt. We’re at 160,000 now and they’re projecting about 95,000 more deaths between now and Election Day. This is disgusting.

Who could have imagined we would crawl through 3 years of this shyt and almost got out but in the final year a quarter of a million Americans die because they didn’t give a fukk.

As you said on Saturday’s feedback show we better be willing to die over our vote this time because we literally will not survive four more years. I shared that sentiment with my sister who hates political talk and she was like, ‘that hit me like a ton of bricks…let’s go…’

Do all you can to protect your loved ones,

    Hello Rod, Karen and Justin,

I hope everyone is doing well and staying strong.

Has anyone been watching Corporate? This season is hitting on all cylinders, even if the Black Dog episode was a hard one. It reminded my so much of the Kanye thing and the overall way our society’s collective disregard for emotional illness exacerbates the problem. The ending was especially telling when the depressed character gets help and his caring friend pronounces him as cured as the depressed character tries to explain he will never be cured, but he now has the tools to manage, as his caring friend essentially goes “Lala, Lala, La, you’re cured and I can go back to my life because I saved you.”

On a lighter note, Stargirl has really turned out to be quite a good show. I wasn’t expecting that when I saw it was centered around teenagers.

Did anyone listen to the Michelle Obama Podcast on Spotify, where she interviews Barack? Excellent information and it reminds you what intelligence and capability look and sound like. It’s no so much political, as it is about the people, interactions and events that help make us who we are. During the podcast, Michelle said something that really stuck with me. She talked about watching television and all of the whites families (Leave it to Beaver, The Partridge Family, The Brady Bunch) had stairs. The few shows with black families The Jefferson’s, Good Times) did not have stairs. What that that simple, easily glossed over thing say to the people watching them.

I am just going to assume that we all came together and watched Black Is King as a family. Phenomenal from beginning to end.

P.S. Rod and Justin, I listened to your review of Fatal Affair, or whatever that movie’s name is since I never intend to watch it, too damn funny. I feel like your detailed review of the put upon Black woman was more than the film could ever hope to be.

“Obsessed” is only streaming on SlingTV or the USA Network app (there’s a great website/app called JustWatch – justwatch.com – I use to look up where movies or shows are streaming, if at all). Going for the rental actually would probably be the best bet.
