Thanks for the documentary recs as always. Rod, you and Karen mentioned not listening to news podcasts that you used to since the election. Same over here. It’s all just too much. But I do want to keep informed and want some deep dives into certain topics — do you, Karen or Justin have any new podcasts that you are listening to for that? Also fuck Brad Pitt. Thanks!

Advantage of being overseas all the streaming apps become different. Netflix was like das Nigga might need a cheer after watching Squid Game. So when I opened Netflix almost 20hrs later, the first section available to see was “Need a Good Laugh?” with Rick and Morty being the first show also Spy Family is available on Netflix too. Interestingly, commercials on your regular show haven’t switched to German on Spotify like it did during my last visit. They still blackity black, well including Kate Kouric interviewing black people. Back to Deutsche straße. Gonna see Superman here.

Salutations my Podcast family, the Paravai-Kaaran reporting live from Deutschland. Before you fry me as always, I came here to reinforce with new juju and introduce the Paravai-Kaaran to German people and let them know the way. They love it so far. So that aside, any of you fucks with Squid Game? The series just wrapped and I’m looking for good reliable folks to hear talking about this storytelling.

Meet Joe Black was a Death on Holiday type films similar to Tuesday (which your did a SMR about). Joe Black, being Death, could speak all languages, and so to show this he spoke in Jamaican Patois (not very good, but hey, he’s Brad Pitt), this allowed the audience to understand his omnilingualism while being close enough that American audiences wouldn’t be put back too much.

It served a purpose that was not appropriation. That being said, I am not going to die on a hill defending Pitt.
