While not as revelatory or dense as Netflix’s The Social Dilemma, Fake Famous does reassure one thing: The Bullshittyness of influencer culture. I did wish we were shown what performing for these platforms does to a person. All that faking it to make it on the gram most certainly will take a toll on your noggin, I don’t care how good you are at this. That’s like my biggest complaint about the doc, but I guess for time, they couldn’t get to it.
