Jolly good day Rod, Karen and Queen Jelizabeth,

    I hope all is well.

Queen Elizabeth shuffling off this mortal coil might not seem directly sports related but it became a sports issue for our friends across the pond when the English Premier League canceled all their games this weekend to mourn Elizabeth II. Maybe the British folks would like to give real football a try this weekend since the NFL kicks off tonight with the Bills playing the Rams *and* college football is happening this weekend?

Speaking of college football, when Brian Kelly took the LSU job I was rooting for him to have nothing but cultural clashes and fuck ups in Baton Rouge. It’s nothing against LSU and completely my dislike of Brian Kelly. Starting the season losing to FSU (a particularly down bad program right now) was a great start, but watching Kelly try to be sarcastic about a reporter coming to the presser late and the reporter snapping back, “Maybe if you’d win I’d be on time”? That’s the dysfunction I crave as I root for this man’s downfall as a coach.

Did y’all know that Lamar Jackson set tomorrow as the deadline for ending contract talks with the Ravens? What do y’all think is going to happen here since he ain’t got an agent and the season literally starts tonight?

I hope y’all have a wonderful evening and weekend! Thanks for the awesome shows and I’m so happy to hear y’all back on House of Dragons (calling it anything else is antiblack)!

    Peace,

    Dough
