They’ve been proposing real id since 911. At this point I don’t think it’s ever going to happen. Besides it a hassle to actually get one. In my state they cost more and not all the license centers do them so they’re not always in convenient locations. And since you only really need them to fly a lot of people just won’t get them.
Here gas is also lower again. It’s still higher than it used to be maybe 1 year ago but it went down a lot.
