I was so into the white people news! I’m not sure if you know, but Ryan Seacrest and his ex have a smaller age gap than Sonya Morgan and her ex husband. Sonya was married to John Adam Morgan of the Chase Bank Morgans, and is 30 years older than her. Her selling that townhome is actually some big upper east side rich white people news. My old office was near her home and I used to watch real housewives of New York. This was the first white people news segment where I knew every person you mentioned. My brain stores some useless stuff sometimes
I think this tik tok ban is kind of toothless. They have until next year to sell and I have a feeling them by next year when the time comes, there will be something else to distract congress, plus there will be lawsuits. Even if by some chance the site gets banned not sure how effective it will be because another site just like it will pop up. I remember a few years back when Vine was popular. When it shut down, tik tok popped up. I’m sure there are plenty of investors t looking to launch similar apps.
Regarding the campus protests for Gaza, the student groups I’m aware of (including the one at my university) who are organizing protests are asking for their universities to divest from companies who fund or supply weapons to the Israeli army. It’s not helping Gaza directly, of course, but it’s trying to put pressure on the parts of the world that students have some influence over. I know my university not only has “strategic partnerships” with large defense contractors who build weapons that are sold to Israel and are currently being used in Gaza, but also the university’s investment fund is invested in companies that do the same. My university divested from companies doing business with the Sudanese government during the genocide in Darfur, so there’s at least some precedent for this ask, even if this one is more of a stretch just based on how deep the U.S.’s relationship with Israel is.
I’m leave this comment before listening to the show so if it’s out of context , let me apologize upfront. I have had weight struggles Most of my early childhood and again as an adult. I got spook and egg bay and lots of a ton of Weight right before high school which I was able to keep off until early Hood. In 2011 I got weight loss surgery have done well. I went from 240s at my house 160s at my lowest. My goal is to be around 175 . If I let it get away from me, I’ve gotten up to almost 200. I struggle with food noise ALL THE TIME. My weight does fluctuate. I have to constantly be aware. Most recently I started the big O. Which is helped with the food noise. I answered yes to the poll. However, being on the big O does tamp down the noise
