I couldn’t help but think of a few more black bond titles.

K pop has been problematic for a time. Around the early 2000s it took a hip hop turn and took a lot of elements from black culture which lead a lot of the k pop idols wearing dreads and wearing black face. Some of them were caught using the n word when singing rap songs. As a member in BTS member mocking George Floyd, that did not happen but one of the was cause using the n word in a song. There was an incident where an artist named G dragon was in black face with a hoodie on as a tribute to Trayvon martin. I have no clue why he thought that was a good idea but I think that was probably the incident in question.
I rarely shop at Target anymore. Sometimes, I go there for household items and toiletries and the occasional grocery run. My trip there today was because additional trash bags were needed and I saw that Old Spice body wash products were on sale: buy 2 or more, get a $5 Target Gift Card. I took a picture of the discount and it came in handy because when all items were scanned at self-checkout, there was no $5 gift card given.
I made my way over to Returns, and the associate refunded me the money and then called for a supervisor who said the only items eligible for the discount were Select items: I purchased two 18 fluid ounce items and one 26 fluid ounce item. The 26 fluid ounce item was the only eligible product. I paid for the items again and the supervisor gave me the $5 gift card anyway since 2 or more Old Spice products were purchased. I may boycott Target since that was a racket and they should’ve been more specific on what constitutes a Select item. In the words of Heart: NEVER (x3). Never going back!
If the Florida woman only waited a bit. Deregulation is coming, soon you will be able to sell human bones in the US, because why not. All the rules and regulations are clearly crushing the spirit of great innovative minds like this bone lady. Hello, it’s not like the dead really need the bones for something useful. They are just lying around and clearly don’t contribute anything to America.
I have not shopped at Target. They bent the knee and it rubbed me the wrong way. An organized “don’t shop here for 8 weeks” will go longer than that for me, as it made me analyze my shopping habits on a whole. It’s actually gotten me to buy a lot more second-hand, on sites like Posh Mark where I can get like new or even new with tags for a lot less, as well as put my stuff up for sale as well as I’m cleaning out. So it’s not just better for my bottom line, it’s more sustainable than buying new stuff I probably don’t need anyways.
I was a little shocked when I heard BlackPink come up, then I heard Lisa and thought, wait, isn’t she the Thai one? I bet she was just wearing phom pai braids again… and it looks like I was right. It seems like when ever she pulls out the braids or uses Desi dance moves that influenced her growing up she is going to get called out, just wondering when Rosé will pull out her Maori Haka moves, something that the Stray Kids got called out for (although the feedback was mainly positive).
K-pop is interesting in that it draws from a lot of different cultures, but that also means that they will sometimes be called out for appropriation rather than appreciation.
Hi Rod and Karen
It’s your fav hardcore BTS fan here. BTS has had some cringey cultural appropriation moments but the Trayvon Martin tribute with blackface was not done by a member of BTS. G-Dragon is a member of the 2nd gen Kpop group, Big Bang. Here’s a link to the story.

I’m so ashamed that I have been to Target (twice) I the last 8 weeks. My excuse is that I am on a site that refunds the full cost of certain products but they specify that you have to get them at a certain store and in this case it was Target.
