At my Costco the parking lot is full 20 minutes after it opens Monday through Sunday. I don’t know what it is but you have to go early or it will be crowded. I love Costco but dang there’s a BJ’s and Sam’s Club in my area as well but it’s always Costco that’s full. Thankfully I have an Executive membership which allows me to shop an hour before regular members. I don’t mind paying the extra money for the executive membership because of the perks and I get a check at the end of the year based on how much I spent that year so the membership pays for itself. Plus Costco is good in a pinch if you want something cheap to eat. A big slice of pizza and a fountain drink for less than four bucks. You can’t beat that. Costco is elite.

Was I the only one who giggled when Karen said Costcos…….LOL! I decided that I had enough of Sam’s Club and all of their disorganization at the gas pumps when I can come to Costcos and enjoy scanning my card at the entrance, the pinwheel deli sandwiches, and the organization and efficiency of the gas pumps. It feels like I upgraded from a side piece to a spouse…….and it is diverse!!!

Costco has been the club! That’s why I’m no longer a member. Ain’t mad at them, but membership to me is not worth the hassle of long lines to get in and out of the parking lot, lines to get into the building AND long lines to check out? Y’all got it.

    Two things:

    1) Costco gas is great. Although I live in New York, I am certain this is true for other parts of the country as well. Costco gas is cheaper than at traditional gas stations. As for the lines, don’t let them overwhelm you, Costco usually has more pumps. My local Costco has 14 pumps, so even with the lines, things typically move quickly,

    2) Everything you and Karen say about the democrats and republicans is true. Democrats might not be united, but there is typically no wholesale desire to destroy every one everything that is not them. Republicans on the other hand are the group who will blow up their entire house in an effort to get the one “bug” they thought they saw because destruction of anything not them not only makes sense, but is desirable.

Costco hoes unite!!! The elite feeling of having a Costco card, and TSA PreCheck/Clear … I get classism now, sorry.
My husband just let me know they’re having exclusive hours for the Executive card members, which we somehow got upgraded to? I don’t know how it works – I’m a passenger princess of going to Costco. But yeah they’re giving early hours again for only the executive card members to shop without the hordes of people.

I don’t know how people don’t see that when groups different from them are loosing rights, they are loosing too.
But this is something I stored in my head as “ don’t understand, but must accept as reality”, among some other things.
That you are not a trans person, a woman, a person of color, a gay person, a child of immigrants…
It’s just just a coincidence. It’s not something you had anything to do at the distribution. It could absolutely be you or your child. I’m an immigrant myself as you know and when my parents decided to leave Poland when I was 12, the decision was made for me. And this is how I bacame someone who is an immigrant for the rest of my life. With all the pros and cons.
