It’s not released yet in Japan (October release, but rumor is that its release may be cancelled), but I caught it on my plane ride to an AI conference. It definitely looks like a theater screening may increase the impact of this show. And I do think that they did the horror to action move better than Alien to Aliens. I think their ability to act like this is a serious movie while putting it out solid comedy vibes is what makes this franchise so enjoyable.
Now I need to go watch that dance scene again, thanks for your hard work and great reviews!
Well, M3GAN, guess I sort of owe you an apology. You are a lean, mean, sarcastically obsessed, funny, dancing machine.
Ok, but seriously, it’s a fun movie that just turns up its title character up to 11 that does fighting & comedy well. I don’t think its prescient story about AI doing wild stuff is as effective as its original, but the rest of it is made up in dumb, but creative fun. Unconscious Fighting Gemma was absurdly fun as shit!
