Shout out to my older and younger sister for still having their AOL email addresses! When you played the dial up sound, a core memory was unlocked and memories of the monitor with the fat-ass back, the tower that doubled as a shelf and nights spent on Adult Friend-Finder came rushing back. RIP AOL Dial-up……you were the realest MVP back then in the early 2000’s.
The way I can’t differentiate Bill Pullman and Bill Paxton by name is the same way I can’t get Iggy Azalea and Azalea Banks straight. Two names, two different problematic people.
I think by the time you get around to the Fucking With Black people segment everything gets a Dracarys before you even read a story because I’m already mad from the politics until we get mad segment.
I think Cardi like Nicki needs to take a break from the internet because clearly it’s not good for her mental health. People talk about parasocial relationships and how it makes fans feel entitled to the celebrity’s life but it works both ways. Some of these celebrities feed off of feedback they get from their fans and it’s probably why Cardi felt comfortable making those statements about fat people.
I saw the original video when she made the joke and being someone who has struggled with weight most of my life I personally didn’t take offense but it’s not up to me to decide what should and shouldn’t offend other people.
I also think the lady Samya likes to create problems for content in the name of activism for fat people. For example she films herself going into stores that claim to be size inclusive. But when she can’t find her size she harasses the store clerks with cameras pointed in their faces and asks why they don’t have her size. I don’t understand how that tactic is okay. Wouldn’t it be better to contact the corporate office or the owners of these stores instead of harassing the person who has no control over what gets stocked in the stores? I think her cause for fat inclusivity is a righteous one but at the end of the day she’s also a content creator seeking clicks.
Sorry for commenting before I finish listening to the show, but regarding Beach Blanket Becky, let’s make up names anyway! I’ll start with “Annette NoFunicello”
Azealia Made me think about asses again, you discussed this topic in a former show.
What exactly is a good ass in your opinion and the opinion of the listeners? I might also not know.
I looked at my ass in the mirror, the good thing about it is, it is visibly there and the round part is directed upwards ( when you look from the side) . I wouldn’t need any pads or push ups. But of course it’s not as impressive as the ones who got some help from the plastic surgeon.
Great that we can talk about the real important topics here.
