Great review, just wish this movie could have been great. It has great acting and a great premise, but the lack of material, inane repetition without revealing much new, and cop-out of the ending made me think that this could have been a solid 45 minute thriller (if they added enough of an ending to make it vague yet not a cop-out; something similar to what they did in Inception).

I did not think that I would watch this movie at first, but I kept running into articles on the Pentagon talking about the state of readiness and missile defense capabilities in response to House of Dynamites. I’m glad that I checked it out, I enjoyed this watch. I believe that your rating was a fair rating as I’ve seen a lot of awesomeness this year.

Interestingly, I watched this movie on Oct 27th, 63yrs to the date when Vasily Arkhiphov is credited with saving the world by arguing against the firing of nuclear powered torpedoes from his USSR submarine after they had lost communication with Moscow. In this age of social media, government just starts to sound like a bodega store. As if anyone can do it, sometimes we need movies like this to remind us of the layers upon layers that it takes to have a system in place plus nuclear weapons… the black woman at FEMA, I was expecting a Jan 6th to happen there lol.
