When this episode dropped, I’d yet to see it. I then saw it last night and am convinced this is one of the greatest films this year….and the reimagining of masculinity commentary was interesting…too many thoughts right now but I enjoyed Fanning’s dual acting…Sinners MBJ twin type shit. Keeping Alien’s Weyland-Watani-verse was dope in my opinion and that last battle referencing Aliens “let her go bitch” manned-bot sequence. Amazing. I also saw zero trailers and found out Monday that this was coming out. The action was unique…definitely a rewatcher. I had a good time if you can’t tell…Great Patreon content, btw. Now I’ll press play.

I had a fun time with Dek of the Yautja and the Kallisk (my dream pet for when I takeover the world), for me the MESSAGE was you can’t trust even Whyte synthetic females. Okay, I’m just going off old aunt who sat two seats from me and because I arrived pretty early and Alamo had clips from the first Predators movies playing for entertainment before trailers began. Aunt turned to me and asked “I thought this was the new Predators movie, I’m I in the right place?” So when betrayal happens, I heard “I knew it, can’t trust a white robot woman ” I died twice. I need this auntie for my movie watching.
I’m here for an emotional killer of killers. A good time was had, solid review too. Oh btw, that Chimp movie trailer always got me laughing especially when she says “he’s like family to us” family my ass as my late uncle would say. I’m rooting for the chimpanzee even if he ain’t no Ceasar so I won’t be watching. Fuck them up!
Damn, y’all pretty much explained this one right down the middle. Predator: Badlands is pretty good, if not great like Prey, Killer of Killers & the OG Predator ’87. It’s mostly shot well, very good action beats, Elle Fanning & Dimitrius Schuster-Koloamatangi have a good buddy cop chemistry together. Dan Trachtenberg just knows how to make these & I look forward to see what he has down the pipeline, whether it’s another Predator entry or something new. He’s 4 for 4 with theatrical films & while I think Badlands’s his weakest entry, it still does a lot well.
And it’s funny! Yeah, good shit.
