I don’t understand the Sydney Sweeney hype. And I’m not one of those people who don’t think all white women look basic. I just think Sydney is a plain white woman with a nice body. I think how some white men view any blonde white woman is how some black men view light skin black women. Black women deal with colorism while white women deal with hair colorism I guess. Meanwhile Angelina Jolie is standing right there. Now that in my opinion is a drop dead gorgeous white woman.
Ryan Murphy shows are hit or miss for me. He’s produced some amazing shows like The people vs OJ Simpson , Glee and Pose. And I do like the American Horror Story Series especially the Coven seasons with Angela Bassett. But his misses are usually not only misses but tone deaf for example he has a series called Monster, the first season he did the Jeffrey Dahmer story, second season he did the Melendez Brothers and the last season he did Ed Gein. My biggest problem with the Monster series is he casts conventionally handsome men to play these horrible people to make the audience empathize with these really horrible people. I’m still annoyed that some women were saying Jeffrey Dahmer wasn’t so bad because of the actor who played him, ignoring that this man targeted black queer men mostly and killed a child.
But his new series looks like a miss for me. I love Niecy Nash and Sarah Paulson but when I saw Kim Kardashian was in it I said no thanks. She was in another Ryan Murphy show and her acting was terrible so I won’t waste my time knowing it would irritate me whenever she’s on the screen. Life is too short to hate watch anything.
For me, it is the McChicken. The best fast food sandwich.
