Thanks for helping me finish this movie. I was about 25 minutes and almost ready to give up, so I listened to the podcast. After that I was motivated to power through another fifty minutes before the movie actually “began” (the slap is an hour and fifteen minutes into this beast) and things started getting crazy and enjoyable.

The acting was great and I would only change four things: compress the first 1h 15m into 15m, stop pretending that both sides had compelling arguments, more Pedro, & I wasn’t actually fond of the Bob Roberts ending.

I enjoyed watching Eddington when it came out at the theater. However, you guys nailed some of the conflicting feelings that I had after seeing this movie. Rod you’re right, Ari could have dropped half of the issues that this film tried to tackle in other to give us an even better movie. Doesn’t take from the acting from the whole cast, everyone was on their A game. Even the white kid that went from woke to GOP over his girl lol. Childish Gambino This is America 100%. I at first was pissed that the Sheriff didn’t die but few days afterwards I was like that was hell that he was living in and would rather be dead than be watching his ex mother-in-law fucking his caretaker every day while he gets abused by the same dude. This was my first Ari Arster watch, good movie but cut out like 20 minutes. Yeah way too much in here, also, I wasn’t ready for another Pedro Pascal death like C’mon people stop it!
