We’ve become so desensitized to these killings online that I wonder if the Ice murders really affect people at all or are people upset because they’re killing white people. I only saw a blurred video of the latest ice murder victim but that was enough. I feel sorry for the victims and their families but this could have all been prevented if we voted for Harris or even Hillary. What I find interesting about this is how non black people are mad at black people for mostly sitting out these protests. We showed up in November but all these people who sat home, voted for Dump or a third party refused to show up for us. So now I’m gonna mind my black as business and hope for the best. My form of protest will be my vote in the next election..if we even have one.

Responding to the voter poll, I am almost completely off of social media at all for the last 2-3 years. I do scroll AP News headlines to at least be aware of what the general tide is, but that’s as far as I go.
Even when I was still on Twitter and Facebook, I largely stopped watching videos of people being murdered. Not judging the people who watch those videos, but if felt lik watching George Floyd being actively being murdered in multiple videos and on repeat was not good for me and my soul (however you want to define it) It’s a dark think to see someone lose their life in real life. No, it’s not for me
Oh, the other thing I was going to react to,
When Rod suggested $10 to review a movie I was shocked! You are talking, for an hour and a half movie, three hours of viewing time (if both Rod & Karen watch it), another hour or so of prep time for Rod and then probably an hour or two of recording time (remember multiplied by two, because it’s both of your time) and another hour to edit. So, for a 90 minute movie you should be charging at least $300 considering a minimum of six hours of labour. Don’t sell yourselves short!
For the Kill Bill thing, 4.5h? That’s probably a $700 request.
The term gypped is indeed racist, it is a shortening of Gypsy which is actually a derogatory term used against Romany implying that they are Egyptian origin. So, it is best to avoid both those terms. Jerry-rigged is another term of racist origins (against Germans), but seeing as it came from a time that they were killing half the Romany population, they rarely complain about it…
Another, much older, racist term is barbarism – the term bar bar was an onomatopoetic term for foreign speak in ancient Rome, and thus the term was a racist term for foreigners…
I think I need to end this linguistic tangent here…

I understand what you said about white women , I see it for the group in America.
Still it leaves a person like me, who isn’t buying right wing lies at all in a weird position.
Walking around claiming: I’m not like other white women, I’m cool and safe!
Also doesn’t seem right. Still it’s my reality. I never voted conservative, make more money then my husband in the last years, and love working with women.
And I have the weird experience of being in oppressed groups ( immigrant and woman ) and being white. Is it the hardest anyone can have it? No. But still, when my parents decided to move to a small village in the 90thies, local nazis still wanted to beat me up. ( they didn’t, but threatened me)
I wished we as white women would have some kind of group chat where I could address the others, who are acting against their interests. But I dont think we have it.
