I always enjoy when Chris Lamberth is on the show. I’m not a huge sports fan but I always find your conversation about black quarterbacks interesting.
I understand your point about Sinners walking away with some award because of the number of nominations and I think they’ll get something too but honestly I won’t be satisfied unless they get best picture, director and all the acting categories anything less than that I’ll feel like it’s been robbed. As you pointed out the voting body is more diverse than it used to be but I still have ptsd from all the black movies and actors that got overlooked and disrespected in the past. I’m keeping my fingers crossed.
So far the only movies nominated for best picture this year that I’ve seen is Sinners, Frankenstein and One Battle After Another and Sinners stands head and shoulders above the other two. I will check out F1 soon because I try to watch as many of the nominations that I can.
