I have heard of Bad Bunny but not listened to his music so I was looking forward to hearing it at the superbowl halftime show. Although the songs weren’t to my taste I really enjoyed the show and the visuals. I love how joyful it was and it felt like a celebration of life. Although the song choices weren’t for me I will check out his catalog to see if there’s something I like because I do enjoy Latin music from time to time. I grew up as a Menudo fan so I was thrilled to see Ricky Martin, one of my first crushes.
I also enjoyed how the bad bunny performance made MAGA mad. That dipshit Kevin Sorbo tweeted before the performance to remind his people to turn the channel and don’t watch but after the performance he tweeted worst Super Bowl performance ever so clearly he watched it. I imagine there was a lot of people hate watching and that probably contributed to why this was one of the most watched Super Bowl half time shows ever.
On the flip side Kid Rocks half time show got an estimated 300k views. MAGA people make a fuss about woke entertainment but they don’t even support their own people. That’s why they had to pay people to see the Melania documentary too. I know someone who was paid 50 bucks and money for popcorn to go see it and he watched it twice for 100 dollars and got a nice nap. Getting paid to sleep sounds like a good deal.
My relationship to Super Bowl halftiem shows is that I never care about them ever, even when it’s a musician I like. If enough people whose opinion I respect say it’s good, I’ll watch it on Youtube sometime during the week. Honestly, I haven’t really bothered watching the actual game most years.
That being said, I thought this was a pretty good halftime show. I need to figure out how they did all that sugarcane shit right in the middle of the field, and I do wonder what the viewing experience was like for people in the live attendance.
I don’t know, man. If you see a SB entertainer announced and you don’t like them, maybe just don’t watch?
As someone who enjoys defense more than offense in football, I actually enjoyed this year’s game. Seattle’s D was really good at reading the pat’s O-line and really shut down their offense in a beautiful display of strategy, skill, & athleticism.
Next year it would be cool if Jay got some k pop artist to perform next year. Although I’m not familiar with the genre I know it’s extremely popular
