I had something about the Kool-aid man to share but I read EvieE’s comment and decided to instead award the first TBGWT Nation Koolaid Award to Arby’s greatest ambassador EvieE. Give her an applause. In these times, it’s magnificent to come up with that universe. I’ll be sure to avoid raccoon meat in the apocalypse! Viva La KoolAid Bruv!
The Koolaid man lore goes even deeper than Highlander, the kool aid people from Koolaida were once a peaceful people until humans discovered them and realized how tasty their juice was. To protect their people they trained as fierce warriors but one day the Kool aid man who we know today accidentally killed one of his friends in a training accident and realized that he got his friend’s strength through killing him. Afterwards he made it his mission to be the most powerful koolaid man. He realized he needed financial backing to keep him safe while he undertook this endeavor so he made a deal with a human billionaire to spread koolaid to the children ( probably Dump’s dad). Whenever he killed off a fellow kool aid person he sold the fallen warriors juices to the masses. Don’t let his smile fool you. He’s a homicidal maniac. And a kool aid coon. Oooh yeah!
Now I got real proof that’s definitely not meat at Arby’s. Keep writing tho, I’m getting a drink and snacks brb!
Comments on this show reminded me of last week. It was impressive that you made it through, you are a paragon of podcasting persistence Rod!
First, thank you Karen for mentioning that men are also often emotional. It’s just that men emotions, especially when it’s anger are more accepted somehow. Or anger is not seen as an emotion in this context.
Also more about patriarchy. I’m not conflicted about it at all. I see that it can be beneficial economically for women who are willing to play the game.
The guy I dated before my husband is now an extremely successful lawyer, on German lists in magazines and so. He told me, he wanted kids with me but it would be my job to care for them because he would provide money. And when I asked if he would be willing to share responsibility, he said sarcastically he thinks the one who makes less money should stay at home and do it all and I could try to out earn him, than he would do it, but haha Apia, good luck.
I tried first to reason with him, but then remembered that we could just not date anymore what we continue to do until today.
Apia, you are better off without him, and good on you for having the foresight to dump that loser!
Thank you! He also said, we can be together, but my work will be Nr. One always, and I will not move for you ever and you can come see me, when I’m away for work for months. But hey, at least he was honest about his view on life! I give him that. So I at least had the chance of taking it or leaving it ( my choice) and he didn’t trick me into a patriarchal marriage! Worse type, the patriarch in progressive disguise.
