Similar to the garage/restaurant idea, our local Nordstrom added a sports bar. It’s an absolutely brilliant idea when you think about it. Wives go shop for an hour, partners get a drink and watch whatever game is on TV.
Gas prices here got a lit down last week, even if still on a high level.
I mentioned before that I got in the week when this mess ( I mean the gas mess, there are many currently) began a full electric car and never have to buy gas again, and the timing looks really suspicious.
Some title suggestions for your Garage / Restaurant:
Eat here & get gas (a little hack and slightly off brand)
Car & Bar (has a nice beat, but might have issues with MADD)
Fine Dining & Fine Tuning (close, but needs re-fine-ment)
Wrenches & Wenches (a medieval style restaurant… it could work – also could be a good triple threat for your Hos with Crabs business)
Fixin for some good Eatin (I think this one could actually work…)
Convenience stores are kind of a sign of the economy. In Japan, due to the pandemic, a lot of them closed and about half of them have become 24h gyms – the gym I go to used to be a convenience store.
Convenience stores were just starting to come back before some racist d-list celebrity with age-related mental infirmity got re-elected and started f-ing up the world economy again, and this was even before the illegal war against Iran. Now we are starting to see convenience stores start closing again…
Politics until we get mad no longer makes me mad it just makes me sad and depressed. Like damn just when you think it can’t get worse it does. And gas is no joke. It’s funny how those Dump “I did this sticker” has been on the pumps, I have seen any but I remember seeing Biden “I did this” sticker when he was in office in my area and that was when gas prices were under 3 dollars. Now that it’s basically 5 bucks the Dump supporters in my area have been hella quiet. Fuck everyone who voted for that bastard and the people who sat home and didn’t vote.
I think Blue Dot fever also has a lot to do with the artist. Yes gas and inflation is to blame for a lot of people tightening their belts but Beyonce, Kendrick, Cardi B, Megan The Stallion had successful tours within the last year. BTS is currently on tour and those tickets sold out in hours. I would imagine if Taylor had a tour her tickets would sell out. I think specifically post Malone and Meghan Trainor catered to a specific fan base and then switched up on them and now people don’t want t to waste their money going to see them. I think some artists just aren’t as big as they think they are and should probably play smaller venues.
