This was the Emma D’Arcy Tour de Force episode! Her pain over Jace then snot crying as she hacks at Otto and then staggers to the throne. Wow. What also stood out for me in this episode is her relationship with Daemon. I can’t quite figure it out…I suppose there is some lust and they did have a few kids, but it doesn’t seem like the primary thing. He could also take the throne from her yet always defers to her, and in the end he is her biggest champion and a real partner. I just like the complexity of it all. It’s also weird that I’m OK with incest here. Anyway, thanks for THE BEST recap show.
Now that Baela’s cuzband is gone I saw the way she was eyeing her ( Uncle, Corlys’s oldest son) I think she’s looking to get in on the cesty action.
Emma Darcy acted her ass off in this episode. I loved it.
I’m beginning to think the writers forgot about Alicent’s 3rd son, no one else can mentions him. What does he even look like? If he dies it will probably be offscreen because no one seems to give a damn about him. Not even his mama Alicent.
I was so glad Otto died. I blame him for the start of this war. It was his greed to get his descendants on the throne so he could gain more power. I was so glad Rhanera sliced into his back before chopping off his bed. Fuck that guy.
I’m really glad the story doesn’t follow the books. I haven’t read the books but so tired of going online and seeing people talk about the plot differing from the books. Good now they can’t spoil it for the rest of us.
Also, not to break the no prediction rule, but I predict next week you will put together another amazing review! I also predict that there will be jokes!

You know I am all down for restorative justice, but in the Game of Thrones world, seeing those two heads roll was extremely restorative! They were the type that would stand on the left side of the escalator (if there were escalators in Westeros) and they were two of the primary movers behind setting up all the mess that led to that moment!
Hoping we see Emma D’Arcy become the first nonbinary Emmy winner!
