I haven’t been this happy about a tv death since Henry from the Walking Dead. I hated that kid. Sir Cole had a satisfying ending too. Without the glory he was shooting for. He was wanted a Jon Snow moment when Jon faced all those soldiers on the battlefield but instead he went out like Rickon. Maybe that’s where the name faceless came from for the episode. He wanted to be a hero but died a faceless soldier.
That kid Tully is one of them ones. Wasn’t Katelyn Stark a Tully? Maybe that’s one of her ancestors and would explain why Aria had that dog in her.
I’m here for the black cest. It’s icky but at least the black actors are being afforded the same opportunity to cest like the white ones.
I really like the colorblind casting because no one ever pointed out the obvious with Rheanyra’s boys by sir Strong. They pointed out that none of them had white hair not that none of them had black skin. Her first husband was Corlys’s legitimate son.

I love these recaps because i can’t remember every character. I wish there was an option to select “show me the family tree” or at least have their names on the screen. When they made sure to have a close up on Tyland Lannistar-i didnt remember who he was but thankfully Rod has our backs.
I thought this past episode did an interesting thing-showing different versions of masculinity/ what the characters went
Through. The actor who plays Gwaine is one of the prettiest men I’ve ever seen. But he is the one out in the muck and fighting. While Ormound basically gossips and avoids getting his hands dirty.
The way Cole died was perfect. He was such an asshole and wanted to be remembered as the greatest warriors. You could tell he was trying so hard to die in a “noble” way which they refused him. Could Cole even see who shot him? There was something poetic in his end.
One of the highlights of my week!
