  2. Hey guys,

Is anyone reading the new Shazam!, Shuri, or Killmonger comics? I just bought all three and wanted to know if anyone else was also reading them. I’m also belatedly about to start reading the Brian Michael Bendis Superman comics as well; I’ve heard good things about them, and I’m kind of rekesced they’ve shed some of the New 52 style from Supes and them.

DJ Benhameen doesn’t write for American Gods anymore – he said on his show that he lost that gig when AMC fired Bryan Fuller & Michael Green.

If they get Hugh Jackman back to play Wolverine again, that’s a one time thing. That man wants to sing and dance again, and he is touring his behind off singing songs from “The Greatest Showman” in concert.

I actually hope the Plastic Man movie comes to fruition. Its screenwriter is a Black woman, Amanda Idoko, and Plastic Man himself is one of the most underrated and underutilized property in the DC stable. Maybe he can’t carry an ongoing comic book anymore because every wants everything bloody, dark, and gritty (*spits*), but a movie or a cartoon show would be a no-brainer. Just make it as…well, for one, actually make it…but for two, just make it as fun and silly as possible. Maybe cast a Black guy to be Plastic Man? Would that spark a thinkpiece since he started as a criminal? Just do not cast a Black man to coon it up as Woozy Winks – my heart wouldn’t be able to take it!
