Amazing show as always. Best podcast ever. Effeminate mannerisms of male villains is a common trope used in animation. Frieza (Dragon Ball ), Orochimaru (Naruto) & Hisoka (Hunter X Hunter) are a few that come to mind in Anime. I’m sure some people were to trying to be inclusive of the LGBTIQ community when saying Scar was gay in the original Lion King. However, It enforces the stereotype that men who have effeminate behavior or mannerisms are gay. Being effeminate isn’t synonymous with being gay.
