We love Segments, dont we? I have a chance for a new black friend. For all people who are new and dont know it, yes, it did come up before but not for long.
In the gym is a class where a very nice and sweet black woman was in a class next to me a few times. Yesterday she came a bit late and was looking for a space for her mat, it was very full. I told her, here, come to me, I make space for you and go to the other side a bit so we get you in.
She smiled and seemed happy and relieved and we did excercises hip to hip. I asked her for her name and it’s Alison.
We jokes a bit in the class and talked gym talk. Well, for you maybe it’s nothing, but for me it’s something. We’ll see.
At this point I guess I am the only one who has had raisins in potato salad. While it’s more common to put raisins in coleslaw, I’ve had them in potato salad too. My Japanese mother-in-law actually puts apples in her potato salad. Basically, it’s a way to add a little sweetness without directly adding sugar. It’s fine, not great, not bad, just fine. Apples are actually a bit better because they add a nice crispy texture.
I’m starting to feel like Mama Joyce. This feels like a conspiracy set up by Todd except it’s a conspiracy set up by Rod. All this Arby’s slander. I call fake news with that video of people declining a delicious meal from the Arby’s. The slander shall not stand.

at round the 57:30 minute when you’re talking about white progressives and it crystallized something for me that I’ve spent years knowing but couldn’t really find the words for.
They don’t believe in white people, either. They think black voters are just a big turnout pinata and we’ll come out because we historically have. So they don’t see the need or purpose for finding a decent person, a good person, or a person who seems to be of good character. They think that their presumed numbers + black voters are enough to win everywhere, which is simply not true.
They also don’t realize the damage they are doing to their own image by pushing forward people who are at best bad people, and at worst literal Nazis. This also degrades the public image of the generic brand of the Democrats as a whole, and just continues to allow Republicans to exist as “just another point of view”.

When on vacation the restructuring plan was finally rolled out , the plan that was over our heads for months. Fist, the fear of what’s to come. Talking to people who are in fear and calling. Than having the 4 hours of calls on vacation, becaue what else? If I had to apply for a new in-house position, this can go immediately and did for some. Learning that my team will be in this way not existing anymore but luckily I will keep my job, but in other structures. New team, new supervisor. Many new questions raised. Lots of calls after. Couldn’t sleep so well.
Hey! But at least I keep my job and the people in the new team are nice.
