I got the best news of my life last week when I found out they’re building a Krispy Kreme down the street from me. They are few and far between up here and I nearly wept with joy. I’m originally from NC so Krispy Kreme holds a special place in my heart. When the hot now light is on I will make u turn on a busy intersection just to get a donut. Call me a coon but if Krispy Kreme put out a statement that said All Lives Matter, I’m not giving them up. I love Krispy Kreme as much as I love Arby’s.

For the couple that fell off the wall, I think the guy landed on the lady. She cushioned his fall, basically crushing her and why he only got a broken leg.

For me the internet was extremely helpful with my anxiety. I was able to find resources and help. And also find out that my feelings were relatively normal and I wasn’t the only one suffering from them. These feelings in the time before the internet? I don’t know how mothers dealt with it.

What you said about post natal depression and anxiety is of course true but there is more. I had very strong anxiety after both births and read about it a lot. I saw dangers for the babies everywhere and it became very intrusive. Somehow it seems to be nature’s way to keep the baby alive. I read that mothers who see all the potential dangers used to have a way better chance to keep their baby alive. But it’s awful. I remember in the parking lot of the hospital I was worried of a terrorist attack, without any real reason. I got a panic attack. When Mr Apia had to leave for work for a few days, I was convinced that he would die from a terrorist attack. What didn’t help was that there was some kind of warning for the city of München at that time and he was there. That time was very exhausting and I remember being afraid all day for the first 3 to 4 months. Of course I was also afraid that the kid would just stop breathing in the night. But the night was still the best time! At about 10pm I was glad that the day was over with everyone alive.

Yes I got therapy and medication. And an online forum and books helped also a lot.
