I didn’t watch the state of the union because I knew I’d get the highlights the next day on social media. Plus I can’t stomach seeing the disrespect of the right which is just performative for their crazy base. Did you see the clip where Joe Biden came face to face with Majorie Taylor greene after his speech and she didn’t have shit to say to him when he was standing there. What a bunch of clowns and she’s the queen of the boogers.
I thought the Terrance Howard impression was hilarious BECAUSE it was bad!
My kid just did a school craft to mark the 100th day of school, where they do a thing that they write their goals for when they’re grownups, and hers was “be a teacher, own a house, pay taxes” and my husband did not miss a beat when he said “she’s got loftier goals than Terrance Howard!” I can’t with these fools.
I’m not even sure if the US was the worst with covid. It wasn’t great, that’s for sure. But we dont have such good data from other countries. People died there and noone even tried to find out the reason behind it. And. For those who wanted it, there was a vaccine available in the US because the government bought it. Other countries didn’t even offer one or offered the Russian questionable one.

Im not even sure about that. But its hard to compare dumbness. There is no real scale.
Other people in the world can also be pretty dumb. When they don’t allow women to read and write for example it’s not helping fight dumbness.
I lived in two countries and now I learned by listening to podcasts a lot of how Americans see themselves.
What I can say with my live experience is that many countries think they are the worst.
Sometimes in Germany to put the own country down they compare something to the US, to say that something is better there. Yesterday I heard a lady who owns a consulting company for people with heartbreak ( from love) on a podcast saying that Americans are more ready to spend money on individual health stuff. Ready? Or do they have no choice and here most stuff is covered by insurance, but not her consulting for heartbreak.
Thinking your country is the worst is similar to thinking is the best.
Here is my philosophical take:
No matter where you live, the problems of that country are the worst to you, because they are affecting you directly.
I can pretty well compare Poland and Germany but that’s it. Other countries, I don’t know.
There are objectively bad places for women, like Afghanistan because of the law, but in other countries I suspect the problems are often similar. Life is hard for everyone.
Now with Chemda leaving KATG I’m extra happy that I found TBGHT as a main podcast in my life.
You are really great people. And I hope you are surprised how well I behave overall.
