The Super Bowl was great. As an Eagles fan I loved every minute because it really wasn’t so much a game but an ass whooping. And the fact that Dump was rooting for the Chiefs makes it that much better.
Michael is such a great guest. I hope he comes back soon. He made an excellent point about black people being our own oligarchy. Our black dollars matter, we drive the culture. Nothing really doesn’t become cool until we give our blessing and it stops being cool when white people start overusing it. The next four years will indeed be rough but like Kendrick said, we gonna be alright.
You tell the most interesting stories Rod. I’m invested in the story about Joe. After he knocked that kid out, did the kid ever show up again? Did anyone ever call Joe out on that? I felt bad for the kid.
Michael Harriot referencing making black versions of “Ernest Goes to” as a measure of industry equality and Adam Sandler really made me laugh. Then I said out loud in my car Rod says that all the time! Talk about alignment. I can only imagine how cool it must have been to work with him and the team writing on Drapetomaniax. TBGWT always has great guests, but Michael Harriot is now in my top 5. Grown man strength? LOL Tough week for me, but catching up on episodes and I got some much needed laughs with this one
