Long time listener here, I always intend to write in but life, ya know.
My only commentary this week is regarding Shannon Sharpe. I think it was last week when yall played a clip of him saying the young things open up for him and, bless yall hearts, yall tried to help that man by saying young to him is in then 30’s. Come to find out he meant young like what we all thought was young.
That’s all I had to say- oh! Justin does need a ‘Justin was right’ song even if he’s only right twice a year.

I hope all is well. Or at least things are going better for y’all than for Nico Harrison. I mean good goddamn, seems like every time a person wonders, “wow, Nico Harrison screwed up the Mavs”, Harrison breaks through the wall like a passive aggressive Kool Aid Man screaming “OH YEAH!” Tim McMahon’s ESPN article about Harrison firing all the trusted, beloved and*qualified* training staff last year is a bad look. Hiring an athletic trainer who ain’t approved by the NBAPA to be an NBA trainer but sure does seem to rush guys back? Bad on its own; worse when the Mavs almost had to forfeit games cuz everyone was hurt; and a goddamn calamity once you factor in Harrison hired the trainer’s boss *after* the trainer! And then Nico comes out in the press to say he didn’t realize how important Luka was to the fans?
And after the Timberwolves had a franchise record breaking shooting night to beat the Lakers…I expected the Lakers to win Game 2 and damn did they ever. LeBron still doing this after 20 years and I am so happy to have enjoyed it in the moment. Looking like it’s gonna be Lakers in 5.
The NFL Draft is tomorrow and Rod, if the Giants draft Jaxon Dart from Ole Miss at QB? That’s another point towards your theory that Eli Manning’s success doomed that franchise.

Ugh, this Shannon Sharpe incident is just so gross. Not getting into the legitimacy of the lawsuit, but this guy is involved in some really weird stuff. Dating a woman so young, all that weird race talk during sex, and just acting a whole mess at his advanced age. Monique tried to tell him! It’s a shame. Shannon left Undisputed with so much public good will towards him, got a fat contract with ESPN, and then, I guess he let all this success go to his head. These broadcasters really think they’re the story. The only network sports show I watch is First Things First with Nick Wright, otherwise, everything I watch is people on YouTube — some former ESPN people. Network sports shows are Trash.Also, Rod, you are right: Lakers should’ve kept Mark. Damn!!!Mary
