I was about to vote but I noticed your trap,not getting the Paravai-Kaaran today.
Over 6 years ago , two of my friends (both men, in the 38-49 age range) ran away from NYC to states and cities in the Midwest and South to begin life afresh. It was almost two years after each one left that they finally were comfortable sharing that they were both in abusive relationships (both men didn’t know each other by the way) up to the point where they had to cut off friends and family. I had met one of the former partners, it was early in the relationship so no alarm bells went off. But for the fact that two younger military veterans, changed everything from social media to cellphone. It changed my perspective as up until that, I might have sounded like Bill Maher in the past and seeing the men it happened to and knowing that physical size had nothing to do in this case as both men were physically fit & bigger than their abusers. Showed me that there’s layers to domestic abuse. If I don’t have a clue, it’s okay to be quiet and seek the right info. Oh btw the abuser that I had met once tried to use a clone account on Twitter into tricking me to give her info on the whereabouts on my friend, slipped at the last second and revealed that she had been to my former place with him. Reply has been pending since then. Imagine me after witnessing that now reverting back to “I don’t believe Cassie ” or going the 50 Cent route. Nah shits too real!
For anyone who asks why didn’t she leave earlier. What’s wrong with you. Seriously. A young woman under a real threat of getting killed if she left.

As someone who read the Jake Tapper book on Biden – a few things. To defend the book (though I know Tapper is revealing himself every day to be more and more of a “both sides” smug dude) I do think it is newsworthy and important history (almost everyone only talked to them after the election so there was really no way for this book to be written and published any faster than it was. You know how I feel about Biden, Trump, etc. so I still found it eye opening (though for me – no one seems to credit the Bidens and Democrats fears of looking weak in the face of a resurgent Trump as a reason to protect weaknesses. Democrats, as always, appear to be damned if you, damned if you don’t). Your comment on Trump and Israel appear to be another Dems as the single mom, GOP as deadbeat dads level of expectations.
Tapper actually writes (briefly) that one of the biggest points of disagreement between Harris and Biden was on Israel (she would have taken a tougher stance on Israel, but was in a tough spot because you don’t want to attack your sitting president’s foreign policy). I find it so emblematic of our current politics that right wing people will portray Harris as the most radical, left wing politician if it can hurt her, but then, on a topic like Gaza, left wing people assumed she would maintain the most conservative stance just to not vote for her.
