Chris is one of my favorite top five returning guests to the show. Always a good time when he’s on. Good to hear he’s out there dating and having a good time.
I don’t know what Ron Funches did to that person to hate him so much but he seems so inoffensive and he seems nice. Just goes to show everyone has Ops.
I don’t know if those texts would equate harassment from Tyler Perry but it seems like they were release to out him. I don’t care if Tyler Perry is gay or not, that’s his business but I hope it doesn’t come out that he’s really a predator who takes advantage of his subordinates, that would suck. Guess like with the Lizzo case we’ll see what happens in court.
I hope R Kelly never sees the light of day again. Wish he would just go away.
Hey Rod & Karen, so, yes, Screen Unseen is something I got into when I was living in West Palm Beach, a couple of years ago, when I watched a Toni Collette feature called Mamma Mafia. It was at a Regal Cinema, but it caught on. At the time, I think it was $5 but with inflation & tariffs, I currently pay $8 for ’em. And they only happen on Mondays. Planned on watching Jurassic World: Rebirth & this fever I’m just getting rid of, told my black ass to chill, so I did. Also, to vouch for Chris about 40 Acres & 28 Years Later both are good, but I loved 28 Years Later & the choices that film made in a certain act that these movies rarely do. It pays off with an emotional heartfelt crescendo to a certain character that’s been dealing with something and I’ll just say the Spike character, played by Alfie Williams, is forced to grow up. Thought the whole thing was great. And definitely do see 40 Acres. Danielle Deadwyler’s just one of them ones, man. Can act her ass off, throw hands & shoot. It’s also a parable for the stealing of land. Think both of y’all will like it. Peace.
I’ll be there reporting live at Chris’s show. Come find me TBGWT Nation.
Sean, I would follow all that instructions you wrote but my former Sensei gave me the go ahead to eat with my beautiful fingers. Why destroy the forest and cause flooding to the world? Save da trees!
Paravai-Kaaran bless!
Chopsticks are simple. Hold one like a pencil, and then balance the other one between the base of your thumb and your ring finger. Move the top one…
Sushi Manners 101:
Most Japanese people use chopsticks for sushi (it was traditionally a finger food, but not currently).
About mixing wasabi with soy sauce… The truth is, in polite company you tend to leave them separate, dip the sashimi part of the sushi in the soy sauce and then put wasabi on top. However, when eating with friends or family most people mix the wasabi into the soy sauce.
If you are eating maki (rolls) it is okay to dip the rice into the soy sauce, but nigiri (fish on rice kinda sushi) you only dip the fish (most people separate it, but you can turn your sushi upside-down if you prefer.
If you want to really sound like a pro:
the fish part on nigiri is the neta
the rice is shari
the filling for rolls (maki) is gu
the pickled ginger that you eat between pieces of sushi to cleanse your palate is gari
wasabi is called namida (literally tears)
I guess J-L is the official dogcatcher of the podcast, I lost count of how many strays he caught during this episode!
Here is one of them oversee whites. I’m still here for TBGWT.
