I absolutely hate when servers don’t write down the orders because in my experience they always mess something up or forget something. I don’t know if it’s an ego thing on their part but I am more annoyed if they don’t write it done and mess up vs if they did write it down and mess up because mistakes happen but you can minimize them by writing the order down.
When a men is behind me on a walk and I start to feel weird, don’t want to be too suspicious but it’s still a man, so I also don’t want die.
I do the thing where I go to the side of the path, turn around and fix my shoe laces. So I can see what the man is doing and if he is trying to attack me, and looking at him would give me some chance to react. And his potential surprise effect is broken. Oh, to be a woman in this world.
My favorite story about this topic:
I was on a walk with my dog, the path is a 40 minute loop. At the beginning there was a man acting strangely. He was walking on a path of 10 yards from one side to the other, seemed to be waiting for something, probably his next victim, and he had a cowboy heat on.
I met a lady with a dog on the other side of the loop.
I warned her about this man.
She said: “ did he look dangerous? That’s my husband, who hurt his foot and is waiting for me. He walks from one side to the other to improve his hurt foot.”
Oh yes.
I saw them both at the end of my walk looking at me and talking. I pointed to them like : “ hey friends? Wasn’t this funny?”
But they didn’t respond.
In case you are wondering, everyone in this story was white. My bias was anti men in general.
