Salutations Queen Karen and 100% more Rod!

Regarding IHOP being the #1 diner, I can see it. My son Austin (ajmartin22) is a waffle afficionado and I was taking him to a local restaurant up the street since he was a boy; when their waffle machine was broken, I would take him on the longer drive to IHOP. We were frequent patrons over the past decade. I don’t go near as much, but he still goes; since the pandemic, there hasn’t been near as many people, so it’s a quick comfort meal for him when everyplace else is crowded.

As for the best fried chicken in America, we have several Lee’s Famous Recipe here and the chicken is quite good! I wouldn’t go out of your way for it, but if you happen to get there in your travels, it’s worth a visit.

Love to eat! Love your show!

It’s a Dwarf House right up the street from where my family’s gift shop used to be located. And while it’s been years since I’ve actually eaten at Chik-Fil-A, I don’t recall it being anything different in there. It’s pretty much just a regular Chik-Fil-A with a gimmicky little house attached to the front of the restaurant. I’ve attached a link to an article that includes a picture of what the one here looks like:

It’s also a Truett’s Grill in the next town over (amusingly named Morrow), and a Truett’s Luau in Fayetteville, GA, on the way to my dad’s primary care doctor, although I’ve never eaten at either one.

Bojangles opened up in NJ recently and it is TOO GOOD. I am lucky that it is not close to my home, because it would be a whole problem for my bottom/bottom line.

I had Jolibee when I was in Newcastle (northern England), and it was really good. If you can find one in your neighborhood, definitely worth a shot!

    Karen and Rod,

I always look forward to LSG episodes! Regarding the diner list, I was a bit surprised to hear that First Watch was second to IHOP. We have FL friends who go to First Watch and the food that they post always looks good! They opened one in our town and I went earlier this year and I gotta say, the food wasn’t that good! I usually get griddle food (pancakes, waffles) and it’s just not hot enough and the flavor is mid. I can get a better breakfast virtually anyplace else (*cough* Cracker Barrel! *cough*) and don’t have to do deal with the crowds that flock there.

IHOP is one of my staples! My go to order is the chicken and waffle. Since the pandemic, traffic has been way down at the location on my side of town. There are barely any people there, the service is excellent (because there are barely any people there), and I always leave full and satisfied!

    Austin
