Catching up on the podcast during a flight was both a really good and really bad idea. I laughed so hard and I was literally brought to tears by that kill list couple. Y’all are so hilarious and the chat room did not disappoint. There really might be somebody for everybody. LMAO
I love when you do Who news because I don’t know who most of these people are in that segment. What I have learned is that it’s not safe to be a drill rapper.
I know that you don’t care about NYC/NY politics, however you indirectly covered that twice this week. Mike Lawler speaking up for Trans people and against the racist young GOP “kids” (along with Elise Stefanik whose attacks on black Harvard president wasn’t racist I guess but I digress) is just confirmation to me that he is gearing up for the NY governors race next year. He has been seen as a GOP front runner along with Stefanik (I keep tabs on my enemy so they can’t fool me.)
Cheryl was right about a lot of support btw, if you add all the Chris Pratt from the multiverse that’s a lot. Give that lost woman her flowers!
After my former, humorous comment, here is more.
I don’t know if it’s better to add fluoride to drinking water or not, I just know we don’t do it in Germany because it’s said we have enough of it and there is also fluoride in tooth paste and salt.
We used to add it, but not anymore. I don’t know what’s better. Are our teeth worse? I have no idea. I just checked if we add it and we don’t.
Mike Lawler is a gay, married to a man and a republican. This makes my head spin anyway.
Still, it’s good that he said that trans people are no danger. I don’t see it as the lowest bar.
While Germany has naturally occurring fluoride in their water, adding fluoride would likely improve dental health. That being said, the anti-fluoridation movement in America comes out of red scare politics and was most strongly promoted by right wing racism & conspiracy “think” tank, the John Birch Society. Although, it has spread its wings much wider and is more of an issue than it was even in the 1940s & 50s…
That being said, the fact that conservatives carve out tiny self-exemptions is not news.
Uncle Justice Thomas, when talking about how the absurd and completely anti-Constitutional decision in Dobbs v Jackson Women’s Health Organization, stated that he was interested in going after all forms of equal rights protections – except for anti-miscegenation laws. This is likely because his loopy piece of fetid feces wife who asked the victim of her husband’s sexual assault to apologize to him, is hwite.
And Dick Cheney thought gay rights were acceptable after his daughter came out.
Because conservatism in America is a fundamentally selfish idiology (portmanteau of idiocy and ideology) , it is not hard to see why they are willing to carve out personal exemptions.
Great to hear that DT will free gay people and black people just the same when the circumstances fit!
