Salutations, Ninja Warriors
Bruh, Shinobi: Art of Vengeance has me about as stargazed as Kara’s quote at the end of that Supergirl teaser, but, anyway, about the game, it is everything & more I wanted in a Shinobi video game. The frustration parts are there, but the game is so generous with failure, you can press on without getting too upset. Exemplary combat, engaging boss fights, nostalgic but modern score from the great Tee Lopez (who also composed Street of Rage 4 & the latest TMNT: Shredder game).
Been on my Xbox hard drive for months just waiting to be played & it rules so hard. 2D gaming is back & I’m so glad it’s as challenging but fair as this game.
If y’all don’t do another show for 2025, happy holidays & happy new year. Peace!
hey gang, it’s your friendly neighborhood militant nerd.
[Seinfeld inflection] what’s the deal with those K for C replacements in Mortal Kombat? as a kid, I thought it was cool, but as an adult, I think it may be Klan. Just kidding, we all need an angle to market IP.
I’m new here and love it here. In terms of the comic book fan/race-casting discussion that’s been happening over the years, I always found it weird because, throughout the history of comics, there have been different versions of a character we were introduced to in one way. Whether it’s a hallucination or a different universe, superheroes have always been represented differently. Maybe not always with the same background, but that’s what makes the comic books so interesting, that nothing is set in stone, and the imaginative nature of comic books has always allowed, if not alluded to, the possibility of characters having a range of faces and back stories.

Ahoy y’all,
I will not take M.A.S.K. toy slander. Mine never broke and it was a hand me down. A purple Nissan 300ZX Z31 that converts into an assault jet. Even the springs that shot the rockets and deployed the flying transformation still worked. Yes, it was a Nissan. They also used Pontiac and Ford trucks. M.A.S.K was big time.
Comic book renumbering is frustrating. Batman got a restart while the series it was going to replace is still on the shelf at the same time because it was delayed by 3 months. That made my wallet angry. Dont get me started on Amazing Spider-man multiple restarts this last decade. Fantastic Four went back to #1 just because the movie came out. FF Issue #1 has the same creative team that made the last volume and feels the same. Renumbered to spark interest
Speaking of the films, why were there never any comic book commercials before comic book movies? These movies are making billions while the source is struggling to survive. Not even a check your local comic shop message. Most people don’t even know where to get a comic book. Drug stores don’t rack them, I have not seen any in my grocery stores in years. There have been discount DC comic 5 packs at Sheetz gas stations but outside the store I go to, The Phantom in the Attic, I have not seen too many places to buy new books.
When you Rod read that Jimmy Olson is getting a spin off and yell “Jimmy FUCKS” I was half way listening and I thought you were talking about My Adventures with Superman Jimmy Olson.
That’s all I got. Hope you thanksgiving was adequate
Coming after M.A.S.K.? I don’t know about you but when Condor hit that Holographic Projection, I was hyped! Let me guess, you’re coming after the SilverHawks next? I’m shocked!
