As someone who has read the Odyssey (and the Iliad), I didn’t remember any physical descriptions of Helen other than that she was very beautiful. I went back and found the closest thing to a description was “leukōlenos” which translates to “white-armed” but contextually is closer in meaning to “soft hands” — like Justin. In other words, she is noble and unblemished. So, casting one of the most beautiful women in Hollywood is not race-swapping or woke, it’s just following the source materials.
I also wanted to add since his name was mentioned, if I’m inviting anyone to the cookout this year it would be Christopher Nolan. Not only for casting the beautiful Lupita Nyongo in his film, but because he’s been campaigning hard for Sinners to win the Oscar. There are articles about him showing private screenings to people in the academy and apparently Ryan Coogler got some advice from him on how to film on a specific type of film for the movie.
I think if he doesn’t get a cookout invite we could at least make him a plate with the good potato salad.
I kind of get annoyed with the cashier examines an item in my basket and want to ask me where I got it like they don’t work in that same store. I don’t mind the small talk but when they make a comment on every other product that can get annoying.
I’m with Karen. Andrew Shultz is not allowed at the cookout and like her I will punch for whoever tries to let him in. (probably Charlemagne) He’s a huge piece of shit and that’s a hill I’ll die on. And even though I had no desire to watch the upcoming street fighter movie because all the ones made so far have been ass, when I found out he would be in it, I will go out of my way not to watch it. I hope it flops.

About the Andrew Schultz Situation, why not apply the thing you are talking about in other context to this situation.
Ask him, “and who are you voting for next time?”
His answer will give your clarity about what you need to know. If he starts with anything both sides related… it’s clear his change of heart isn’t real. And if it is, great! His vote has the same power as all of those people who were on board all the time.
